Plant Medicine Healing

Effective Date: October 18, 2026

At Plant Medicine Healing, emotional safety, personal autonomy, and trust matter deeply.

We recognize that visitors may come here while experiencing emotional overwhelm, questioning their relationships, or seeking a safe place to explore difficult feelings.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

1. Who We Are

Plant Medicine Healing is an educational and personal-growth website operated by Jessica Choate, RN, also known as The Mystic Midwife.

Website: https://plant-medicine-healing.com

Privacy inquiries: [INSERT YOUR PUBLIC CONTACT EMAIL]

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with our website, we may collect:

  • Your email address when you voluntarily join a mailing list or app waitlist.

  • Information you voluntarily provide when contacting us.

  • Donation or transaction-related information necessary to process and administer a payment.

  • Website usage and technical information collected through our hosting provider, analytics, cookies, and similar technologies.

  • Responses submitted through our Relationship Safety Check.

We aim to limit collection to information relevant to providing our resources and operating the website.

3. The Relationship Safety Check

Our free Relationship Safety Check is provided through Tally.

You are not required to provide your name, email address, or contact information to complete the assessment.

However, when you click Submit, your answers are transmitted to and stored by Tally. Submitted responses are accessible to Plant Medicine Healing through its private Tally workspace.

Because assessment answers may describe sensitive relationship experiences, we aim to minimize how long individual submissions are retained.

Responses may be deleted manually. Tally ordinarily retains deleted submissions in its Trash for up to 90 days unless they are permanently removed sooner. Tally may also process or retain certain technical information according to its own policies.

We do not use assessment responses to subscribe you to marketing emails.

The assessment is an educational reflection tool. It is not a diagnostic evaluation, a substitute for professional support, or a determination of whether a relationship is abusive.

Please review Tally's privacy information for additional details.

4. Email Signups and App Waitlist

When you voluntarily join The Spiral Companion App waitlist or another mailing list, we collect the email address you provide.

We use this information to send the updates you requested, such as app availability, launch announcements, and related information described at signup.

Our mailing-list functionality is managed through Squarespace.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link provided in those messages.

Taking the Relationship Safety Check does not automatically subscribe you to our mailing lists.

5. Donations and Purchases

If you make a donation through our website, payment-related information is processed through the payment services used by Squarespace and its payment providers.

We may receive information needed to administer transactions, maintain financial records, and meet legal obligations.

Purchases of The Spiral Companion journal are handled through Lulu. When you visit Lulu, its terms and privacy practices govern the information you provide there.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external checkout or payment service before completing a transaction.

6. Website Analytics and Cookies

Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, maintain security, and provide analytics.

These technologies may process information such as browser details, website visits, device information, and interactions with pages.

You can manage certain cookies through your browser settings and any cookie controls made available on the website.

We also use Google Search Console to understand how our public pages appear in search results.

7. How Information Is Used

We use information as reasonably necessary to:

  • Operate, secure, and maintain Plant Medicine Healing.

  • Provide requested resources and services.

  • Administer email subscriptions.

  • Process transactions and donations.

  • Understand website performance.

  • Improve the accessibility and usefulness of our educational content.

  • Respond to inquiries and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell Relationship Safety Check responses or mailing-list information to advertisers.

8. Third-Party Services

Our website uses external services, including Squarespace, Tally, Lulu, and applicable payment and email service providers.

These providers may process information to perform their services and may operate under their own privacy policies.

External websites linked from Plant Medicine Healing are not controlled by us. We encourage visitors to review their privacy practices.

9. Data Retention and Security

We aim to retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for its intended purpose, subject to technical limitations and legal obligations.

Email subscription information may be retained while you are subscribed, along with limited records necessary to honor unsubscribe requests.

Assessment submissions are stored through Tally until deleted or otherwise removed under its retention processes.

We use available administrative and provider-level safeguards to help protect information. However, no online system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Choices and Privacy Requests

You may contact us to request information about personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections or deletion where applicable, or raise privacy concerns.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Because the Relationship Safety Check does not request identifying information, we may not be able to determine which submitted assessment belongs to a particular individual.

We will respond to privacy requests in accordance with applicable law and the information reasonably available to us.

11. Children's Privacy

Plant Medicine Healing is primarily intended for adults.

We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through our website. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take appropriate steps to address it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, or data practices change.

Any updates will be published here with a revised effective date.
